Fun set from a recent shoot for one of my favorite clients!
This is a photo that I shot for a client. Played with some filters and am pretty pleased with the way it came out.

Just scheduled two shoots for the next couple of months. I’m very excited that it is all coming together! Yay! :)
New photo from a shoot I did a few weeks ago for J’s Hair Studio. Concept and styled, wardrobe, hair and MU by students from Japan.
Yesterday was such a blast! I got to work with 4 beautiful ladies, AND they were all redheads. I have a thing for beautiful gingers, being a ginger myself. ;)
The team was:
Jeanna Kier and Genevieve Garner on hair. (BOTH these ladies rock!!!!)
Maria Barrios and Stephanie Lawrence on Make up - Do I need to repeat myself? I had never worked with Maria before, but she was an uber pro, fast and very talented! And Of course, The rest of the girls on the team were there because I’ve worked with them a number of times before and KNEW they would rock.
The models were (pictured above with Hair by Genevieve and MU by Maria) Ninja
Aryiel Harman, Rochelle Red - All first timers in front of my lens. And Sarah Hilker, another of my favorite ladies to work with.
All in all, the shoot was a blast. Everyone was timely, worked hard and we blew through 8 looks in 6 hours. Can I tell you what a shock THAT was? Everyone was speedy and amazing.
The purpose of this shoot was basically that I wanted to update some of my beauty work and focus on both fun and clean makeup. I contacted a bunch of models, and as it turns out, it was all gingers who jumped at the chance to do this shoot. So - I’m going to do this a few more times each time will focus on the color of hair. Next time I’ll choose all blonds, or maybe brunettes… we’ll see what catches my eye! I plan to do a few more of these over the next few months.
I also have recently learned some new retouching techniques and figured that it would be the PERFECT reason to do a beauty shoot. I’m quite pleased with how these images tuned out. Although, I do have to say that after posting them on ModelMayhem.com, the jpgs desaturated horribly. NOT pleased with that. I’ve read about others encountering this problem before, so I’ll have to do some research and figure out how to correct it.
In the meantime, click the image to see the rest of the set on my flickr account.
(btw - not happy with the placement of my watermark… but it looked worse in other areas of the photo. grr!!)
:)
Today I had coffee with a lovely friend, then went off to a photoshoot at Griffith Park. The shoot was for TwoTwentyTwo Clothing. This is part of a series Based off of Alice in Wonderland. The designer styled and arranged for all the hair and makeup. I chose the actual part of Griffith Park, a lovely little corner perfect for a foray into Wonderland.
The team:
MUA: Sarah Anstead
Hair: Nancy Morales
Model: Brianna Ondrejik
It was a fun shoot and the weather was a tad cold, but perfect. This is one of my favorite shots from this shoot. (So far!!)
In other news, I’ve started a new profile - http://be.net/sarynchristina I’m very excited about it, it was a lot of fun putting it together, and I plan to continue to update it as I do new series. :)
If you are also on Behance, please follow me, and I’ll follow back. :)

Happy New Years people!
This year has started off rather slowly for me - I’ve been fighting off a bad cold and some other personal stuff. Such is life.
However, even with this turn of events, I refuse to look for anything but positive results from the coming year! I’m rather excited to get things rolling, and see how much I can get done.
I don’t really go in for resolutions, but I do like the idea of starting fresh with the new year, so I won’t list out everything that I plan to do, I’ll just keep plugging along until I get to where I’m going.
Suffice to say, I am feeling positive and that all the hardships of the last year are going to make me stronger to face the future and give me all the Karma I need to have a great one.
How are you feeling about this year?
