This is a photo that I shot for a client. Played with some filters and am pretty pleased with the way it came out.

Photo from a recently commissioned set of a friend. She wanted to try her hand at some fashion modeling and so we set out to the tide pools and did some shots. This is one of my favorites. She’s quite natural in front of the camera!

A few pictures from an older shoot - with Scarlett Feverrr MUA - Stephanie Lawrence and styling and hair by me.
This set was inspired by a circus feel. Scarlett’s bright pink hair inspired me to find wardrobe that was frilly and pink and circus like.
We set the shoot at Griffith Park - near the landmark Merry-Go-round. (the shoot was specifically to augment our portfolios, and as such was done gorilla style. I would not recommend the Merry-Go-Round for a location unless you go the proper channels and secure a permit for shooting there.
The shoot was done using available light, open shade and a 5in1 disk reflector. :)
I’ve shot more wedding related photos in the last month than in my entire career. Well, kidding. sorta. I did the set you see above for the talented Ama Lea, http://www.amaleaphoto.com and her fiance. Such a cute couple… and a blast to hang out with. I’ve been a fan of Ama’s photography for a long time, and was thrilled that she wanted to work with me!
Then I shot a wedding for a couple of friends up in Santa Rosa. A working vacation, and all the fun that could be had was most definitely involved. I got to travel up there with one of my best friends, enjoy the beauty and peace that is Santa Rosa, attend a beautiful wedding and photograph it. The bride and groom were wonderful, very laid back and easy going. Their families were sweet and ever so helpful as well. Such a great experience. Unfortunately, not the usual experience you have when shooting weddings.
Pondering the idea of shooting more alternative engagement photos. Anyone have any feedback on that idea? I’m pretty sure I don’t want to shoot weddings, I don’t have the nerves for that! But I love doing engagement photos. :) Whatcha think?
